I'm very pleased to tell you that a second book is joining Slow Road Home in May of 2009. What We Hold In Our Hands: a Slow Road Reader extends the hyperlocal folk-writing from the last part of the first book. The new book, also a "reader" consisting of almost 100 short pieces, moves from the local and personal to the regional and global and back again in ten "chapters." The second book also has more than 50 black and white images.

I have self-published a second book!. Well, almost. The files are at the printer. I expect to have them delivered to the house in early May 2009, and will fill orders by orders sent by mail, and soon, by PayPal orders as well. I will put up the link to the Paypal buttons as soon as they are in place. The books can also be purchased at a number of locations in Floyd Virginia and along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
